The Best of Kent & Sussex: Chapter 1: Sissinghurst

Sissinghurst,a world-renowned garden, has long been one of my favourite places to visit. It is a place where I have many fond and happy memories of spending time with my Mum and Grandma, whom introduced me to the delights of Sissinghurst from a young age. This garden is a fail-safe option, and so whenever we're stuck for ideas on where to go we always seem to end up here, and it never fails to disappoint. The gardens are special at any time of year and the reliable national trust food offerings of a warming bowl of soup and a hefty hunk of bread are always comforting, especially in the colder months.Another great catch about Sissinghurst is that although dogs are not permitted in the garden, there is plenty of space on its estate, which includes lakes and woods to roam and enjoy with the pups. The highlights include ..

'The White Garden'

'The Lime Walk'

'The Orchard'

'The Gazebo and moat'
