Spring Garden Photography
March and April are some of the best months for flower photography- magnolias are unfolding into bloom whilst tulips create a wash of rainbow colours. I visited Great Dixter House in East Sussex earlier this month to get my photography fix. It’s a fantastic garden to see snakes head fritillary growing naturally- these little drooped flowers have petals which resemble the pattern of snakeskin. We were also approached by a feisty little robin who with a mouthful of worms was keen to see us off his territory- not before I managed to get a quick shot of him framed by green foliage. This time of year is all about getting out into the garden, and making the most of the Spring blossom- it doesn’t last long!
